Club Policies
50% Playing Time

Our club philosophy includes 50% playing time for each player each week. For non-traveling this is interpreted as approximately equal playing time between all players. For traveling teams, which tend to be more competitive, every player is guaranteed at least 50% of each game, but no more. More playing time is earned by attendance, good attitude, hard work, practice and improving personal skills with the coach’s help.

Traveling Players – Substitution Policy

After much discussion, the Board approved a rule that Players must play Stateline games only on the team on which they are rostered. Coaches may not use players from other teams for Stateline (traveling team) games except in special circumstances: In order for players to pick up extra games and coaches to have guest players the following must occur:

1. All rostered players must play first
2. For U9-U14, maximum substitutions are field size plus 3 substitutes
3. Coaches are responsible for bringing the team roster of the guest player
4. Guest subs must check-in at the beginning of the game
5. Guest subs cannot play more than 50% of the game

Coaches are not allowed to use players from other teams for Stateline (traveling team) games except for special circumstances as defined above.

Consequences for violating this rule:

1st Violation — Coach is suspended from the next home game.
2nd Violation — Coach is done coaching for the season in which the incident occurred, unless it is the last game of the season in which case the coach will be suspended from coaching the next season.
3rd Violation — Coach will no longer be able to coach for the Whitewater Youth Soccer Club (WYSC).
